Gavin President/CEO Talks Proactive Business Decisions During COVID-19 Crisis
As the global COVID-19 pandemic emerged in Pennsylvania, our leadership’s crisis communications expertise guided a strategic approach for ventures owned by Mandy Arnold, Gavin’s President/CEO. As co-owner of The Left Bank Restaurant and Bar, Mandy utilized proper forecasting and modeling using performance metrics, best practices in communications and internal communications used for her clients to proactively implement business decisions and safety measures for her other ventures.
In a recent op-ed published by Central Penn Business Journal, Arnold stressed the importance of being a responsible entrepreneur in the local community. Utilizing her crisis mitigation and proactive forecasting expertise, Arnold made the decision to close the restaurant on March 14, making The Left Bank one of the first restaurants in Pennsylvania to close before the governor ordered temporary business shutdowns.
“This is scary and it hurts. There’s simply no other way to say it. However, if we accept our greater responsibility as leaders in business and put public safety first, we will come out of this,” Arnold said.
