York, PA (November 26, 2011) – Susquehanna Style magazine in Central Pennsylvania has named Mandy Arnold, president and founder of Gavin™ Advertising, a Woman of Distinction for 2011. Honored for her commitment to her community, Arnold was profiled in the November/December 2011 issue of the magazine.
Each year, Susquehanna Style magazine selects five special women from the Susquehanna Valley region, in Central PA, to be honored as Women of Distinction as part of its annual Good Neighbor series.
Chosen for her volunteer time spent supporting the buy local movement, involvement in downtown revitalizations throughout Central PA, fresh-thinking style of leadership and her professional achievements.
“I’m honored to be named among several of the region’s most amazing female leaders and community activists. Mostly, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to spread the buy local message while sharing my excitement of opening my own business in a downtown area going through its own exciting renaissance,” said Mandy Arnold, president of Gavin Advertising.
Arnold holds a master’s degree in Communications Management, a graduate certificate in Integrated Communications and Strategic Public Relations, and a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Currently, Arnold sits on various boards and committees throughout Central PA. Arnold is an active board member and Marketing Chair for Downtown Inc, Vice President of the board of directors and Communications Chair of Historic Harrisburg Association, board member of the Community Historic Preservation Foundation, Chair of the YorIT Social Venture Challenge and sits on numerous regional committees working toward improving the community.
