York, PA (5 November 2012) Gavin™ Advertising was named a finalist for the 2012 Emerging Business of the Year award by Central Penn Business Journal. The prestigious nomination was awarded to Gavin after being in business for only one year.

The Emerging Business of the Year award is given as part of the Central Penn Business Journal‘s Business of the Year awards program to companies based in or near Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry or York Counties that have been in business for five years or less and are recognized as rising stars within their industries and communities.

Gavin™ Advertising is a full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency devoted to truth in branding and driving action. Launched in the fall of 2011, the agency has already made a splash locally and nationally, including being featured in Advertising Age, the advertising industry’s go-to resource, for “smart growth” at just 10 months old. Gavin services clients throughout the region and across the United States in various industries, including healthcare, consumer packaged goods, education, utilities, building supply, economic development and tourism.

Leading the charge at Gavin™ is Mandy Arnold, who brings more than 15 years of experience managing senior level market strategy, brand development, public relations, communications and guerilla marketing for regional and national brands, including Under Armour, Anheuser-Busch, Hair Cuttery, R.J. Reynolds, Herr’s Potato Chips, WITF and Mount Nittany Medical Center. As the former Vice President of Marketing for one of the nation’s largest luxury building supply distributors, Arnold spearheaded innovative marketing approaches in complex economies and led the organization to adopt new media strategies, reinvigorating its brand and reestablishing the company as a leader in its product category.

“To be nominated as a finalist for the Emerging Business of the Year award after only one year in business is a tremendous honor,” said Arnold. “We know we are an agency to watch and we are ecstatic that the Central Penn Business Journal agrees.”

Arnold holds a master’s degree in Communications Management, a graduate certificate in Integrated Communications and Strategic Public Relations, and a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
