Rick Holberg named Vice President of Creative Strategy and Branding

YORK, PA (16 October 2019)  Gavin™, a digitally minded public relations and marketing agency with its headquarters in York, today announced that it has acquired Holberg Design, a longtime York firm known for its extensive brand strategy and integrated design services.

Recently named a Business of the Year finalist by the Central Penn Business Journal, Gavin has become an agency of choice, housing the best-of-the-best talent. With the acquisition of Holberg Design, the Gavin team has expanded to more than 20 people who provide a comprehensive suite of services, including brand strategy, public relations, digital marketing and media buying.

Holberg Design founder Rick Holberg brings more than 30 years of advertising and marketing experience, adding a new layer of depth to one of the largest boutique agencies in Central Pennsylvania. As part of the deal, he has been named Vice President of Creative Strategy and Branding.

Rick Holberg brings an extensive background in insightful and creative solutions, having managed both regional and national Fortune 500 companies. At Gavin, he will continue to serve his clients with the added value and backing of expanded agency services, including public relations, crisis communications and comprehensive digital services.

During his career, Rick has been the recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award and the American Advertising Federation Silver Medal Award. He is currently a professor at York College of Pennsylvania.
