In 2019, Gavin stayed true to its mantra of evolving influence and being devoted to truth in branding and driving action.
We crafted authentic content to motivate brand engagement and told company stories to shift perception and influence action. Additionally, we brought real-time market research to the table to shape our strategic approach to every project we took on to help our clients achieve their goals.
Along the way, we even expanded our house of talent by dangerous levels.

Community Progress Council – #IAmProgress
Empowering individuals and families to rise above poverty and become self-sufficient is what Community Progress Council (CPC) is all about. CPC enlisted Gavin to advance public understanding of their mission and purpose, destigmatize issues relating to poverty and improve their ability to engage influential audiences with the power to affect needed change.
Gavin’s guerrilla marketing tactics, public relations strategy and sophisticated creative solutions across digital and traditional media for the #IAmProgress campaign yielded a 40% increase in donations to CPC and earned 58.3 million media impressions, an equivalent of $322,937 in media spend. Gavin President/CEO Mandy Arnold participated in the campaign herself by sharing her personal progress story.
FHCCP – Take Control of Your HIV
Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania is a community-based organization that provides services to thousands who may otherwise go without needed care.
In their efforts to eliminate stereotypes and encourage HIV-positive individuals to seek treatment, FHCCP worked with Gavin to develop a Take Control of Your HIV campaign. The seven-month project yielded 515,204 impressions across social and digital channels, 42,980 engagements and 9,530 webpage visits.
PA Fish and Boat Commission
To enable the public to better explore Pennsylvania’s waterways, the PA Fish and Boat Commission selected us to help increase public awareness and license sales through a comprehensive digital marketing strategy and market awareness campaign.
Our website design team built a responsive landing page to improve their ability to track performance from ads to their website and finally to sales. Additionally, we made website improvements, ran ads that featured animated and static bilingual content to reach all necessary audiences. Nine million targeted impressions resulted from our efforts, which allowed us to gather more information about the behavior patterns of their target audiences for future marketing efforts.

When our client Yazoo Mills, a manufacturer of paper tubes and cores, handed us the keys to creative freedom for a design project, we implemented intriguing, expertly crafted patterns to deliver a different packaging experience to their customers.
City of York Bureau of Health – Sexual Wellness Campaign
When given the chance to participate in the City of York Bureau of Health’s mission of promoting and protecting the health of York City, we created a bilingual campaign to encourage members of the community to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases and take control of their sexual health.
Holberg Design – Acquisition
Holberg Design, a York-based design firm known for its extensive brand strategy and integrated design services, joined Gavin’s house of talent in October 2019. Owner and founder Rick Holberg became our Vice President of Creative Strategy and Branding.
We warned the community of our dangerous levels of talent and growth through strategic public relations efforts, sparking buzz throughout the region.
York County Libraries – Capital Campaign
In an effort to rapidly increase awareness and solicit donations from the local community for a $5 million fundraising effort that would help update and expand their offerings, York County Libraries enlisted Gavin to manage and execute a full suite of campaign functions for their Capital Campaign.
We crafted a strategic communications plan that encompassed donor profiles to include amongst digital and storytelling strategies, designed visual assets and materials, social media marketing, email marketing support and more. Through digital targeting, the York County Libraries Capital Campaign achieved over 255,800 impressions, 14,008 engagements and 1,141 microsite visits.
HACC Personas Project
Gavin’s team of expert storytellers has proven experience in the education industry. Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) tapped our strategists’ industry insight to develop student personas that could capture the motivation to pursue education and help increase enrollment efforts.
As one of our best years to date, we’re happy to add 2019 as a strong chapter in Gavin’s history and look forward to the many exciting projects that await us in 2020.
